Job Duties and Responsibilities

Assistant Manager Responsibilities

  • Assist general manager in organizing, planning, and implementing strategies

  • Coordinate operations and ensure schedules and objectives are met

  • Supervise and motivate staff

  • Interpersonal and mediation skills

  • Monitor retail operating costs, budgets, and resources

  • Communicate with clients and evaluate their needs and specifications

  • Create reports, analyze and interpret retail data

  • Drive recruitment process, training, and development

  • Secure adherence to company’s policies and guidelines

  • Assist clients with frame selection

  • Educate on lens options

  • Proactively listen to clients and look for opportunities to exceed their expectations

  • Process payments along with modest data entry

Qualifications

Assistant Manager Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience

  • Experience in retail service or sales

  • Experience working in an optical dispensary (required)

  • Excellent customer service

  • Multilingual preferred (fluent in English and Spanish)

  • Basic computer skills, aptitude to quickly learn our software programs

  • Ability to effectively train and motivate sales associates

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, project management and communication skills

  • Solid fashion sense and awareness of designer brands

  • Happy, positive, and collaborative personality
