About the Animal Hospital of Waynesboro:
At Animal Hospital of Waynesboro (AHW), nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia’s picturesque Shenandoah Valley, we take pride in being a full-service small animal veterinary hospital. For over 30 years, we’ve been accredited by the AAHA, demonstrating our commitment to delivering comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, and therapeutic care. Serving our community for 40 years, we’ve earned a reputation for top-quality patient care and exceptional client service, thanks to our compassionate and dedicated team.

What sets us apart?
Our facility is a modern, well-equipped space designed to provide the highest standard of care. We have fully computerized medical records since 2008 and have been using the Cornerstone EMR system for the past six years. Our hospital features six dedicated exam rooms and a multipurpose room for exams, euthanasia, and procedures. The spacious treatment area includes three procedure stations—one with a gurney/lift table—two dental/wet tables, an incubator/oxygen cage, and a surgical suite with two tables. Additionally, we offer a cat ward with boarding kennels and condos, a dog ward with kennels and glass-front runs, an ICU/recovery ward equipped with oxygen-enabled kennels and a run, and an isolation ward with a separate entrance, kennels, and a fold-down exam table.

Our diagnostic capabilities include digital radiography, digital dental radiography, and ultrasound. We provide comprehensive in-house blood analysis, supported by Antech as our reference lab, with additional lab work sent to Zoetis and Veterinary College Diagnostic labs when needed. Our surgical offerings are extensive, ranging from routine elective procedures to complex soft tissue surgeries, including splenectomy, gastrotomy, gastropexy, cystotomy, tumor removal, GDV, and select orthopedic procedures like extra-capsular ACL and MPL repairs. We are also proud to have a doctor specializing in physical therapy and rehabilitation. Our dental services include COHAT, radiography, extractions, mass removal, and other procedures, with the exception of endodontics.
