The Business Development Manager, Fleet, is a self-motivated, highly organized business development and sales professional who is responsible for driving fleet revenue growth through new account acquisition, expansion of existing partnerships, and proactive churn reduction. This individual serves as the strategic lead for building, maintaining, and scaling fleet relationships across the ZIPS portfolio, blending B2B sales, account management, and field enablement and leveraging cross-functional support from internal partners to ensure fleet programs are executed consistently at the site level.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Acquire net-new fleet accounts through proactive outreach, discovery calls, prospect meetings, networking, and local market engagement
- Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with prospective fleet partners to assess needs, present solutions, and close new business
- Proactively retain fleet partners by cultivating long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders and deploying strategies to solve problems, address needs, and add customer value
- Utilize pipeline tracking and forecasting to increase accounts onboarded per month
- Develop and deliver customized proposals, pricing recommendations, and partnership structures
- Manage the contract negotiation and closing process to maximize long-term value and profitability
- Own and evolve the Customer Partnership Program to ensure consistency and scalability
- Align partnership offerings with operational capabilities and local market needs
- Work closely with Accounting to ensure seamless onboarding, billing accuracy, and partner satisfaction
- Promote fleet outreach at field marketing initiatives, including site-level activations, grand openings, refreshes, and community events
- Support field fleet sales efforts by creating toolkits, playbooks, scripts, and similar resources
- Maintain accurate CRM data, including pipeline management, renewal tracking, and reporting
- Monitor and report on the competitive landscape and adjust strategies as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3–5 years of experience with B2B sales, fleet sales, relationship management, or account management; experience in the service industry preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or related field preferred
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
