Standard Fire Protection, an Altus Fire & Life Safety Company, is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team! This role is responsible for converting inspection-identified deficiencies into approved repair work. This role focuses on quoting, customer follow-up, and closing service and repair opportunities generated from fire and life safety inspection reports.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Review completed inspection reports and identify deficiencies requiring repair, replacement, or code-related corrective action
- Prepare accurate, timely quotes for customers based on inspector findings, applicable codes (NFPA, local AHJ requirements), and standard pricing
- Proactively follow up with customers via phone, email, and in-person visits to present quotes, answer questions, and secure approvals
- Maintain a pipeline of open deficiency quotes and drive them to close within established timeframes
- Coordinate with inspectors, technicians, and operations to clarify scope, validate pricing, and schedule approved work
- Educate customers on the safety, liability, and compliance implications of unaddressed deficiencies
- Track quote activity, win rates, and aging in the CRM or service management system
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue and close-rate targets
Qualifications
- 2+ years of sales, account management, or estimating experience, preferably in fire and life safety, building services, or a related trade
- Working knowledge of fire alarm, sprinkler, suppression, extinguisher, and/or backflow systems (training provided as needed)
- Familiarity with NFPA codes and inspection reporting a plus
- Strong follow-up discipline and ability to manage a high volume of open opportunities
- Comfortable reading inspection reports and translating technical findings into clear customer-facing proposals
- Proficient with CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and service management platforms (e.g., BuildOps, ServiceTrade, BirdDog)
