Duties and Responsibilities:

A veterinary cleaner plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall safety of a veterinary facility. Their responsibilities typically include the following:

Cleaning and Sanitation

  • General Cleaning: Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in examination rooms, kennel rooms, treatment rooms, and public areas.
  • Sanitizing Surfaces: Disinfecting counters, tables, cages, and equipment to maintain a sterile environment and prevent the spread of diseases.
  • Waste Disposal: Properly disposing of biohazard waste, including used syringes, gloves, and medical waste, following local and industry regulations.
  • Laundry Duties: Washing, drying, and folding towels, blankets, and other washable items used for animals.

Animal Care Assistance

  • Cage Cleaning: Removing waste, sanitizing, and replacing bedding in animal cages or kennels.
  • Odor Control: Ensuring proper ventilation and using appropriate products to eliminate odors from animal areas.
  • Feeding Area Hygiene: Cleaning and sanitizing feeding bowls, water dishes, and the surrounding areas.

Facility Maintenance
