Position Overview:
Intuitive Health is looking for an accounting leader to join our finance team. Reporting to the CFO, the JV/MSA controller is critical in driving the company’s financial success as it relates specifically to our JV/MSA locations and leads a team of 4-8 accounting staff. This role also has ample career growth opportunities!

Location:  Remote (requires ~ 5-10% travel as needed)

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.

  • Guide a team of accounting & billing professionals, fostering growth, accountability, and high-quality work.
  • Preparation of financial reporting packages for assigned joint venture/MSA operations, used in monthly/quarterly reviews with hospital partners and Intuitive Health management team.
  • Oversee implementation efforts with new joint venture partners as it relates to financial package data.
  • Oversee Intuitive Health journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts related to assigned joint venture operations.
  • Oversee month-end close process and perform financial analysis for assigned joint venture operations.
  • Interface with hospital partner Finance teams on hospital partner sourced financial data.
  • Assists the Corporate Controller in ensuring all company accounting controls and systems comply with GAAP and best practices.
  • Analyze business performance, provide recommendations, and participate in budget development.
  • Preparing and managing accounts using various software programs.
  • Preparing and assisting with audits.
  • Ensure department efficiency, compliance, and alignment with company goals.
  • Facilitate smooth information flow within and across departments including with our health system partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or in a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in in accounting, including 3+ years of direct leadership and mentorship of accounting staff.
  • Public accounting experience required.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CFM, or CMA preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of GAAP and relevant financial accounting regulations.
  • Multisite healthcare and experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate, leadership in support of company’s goals.
  • Impeccable analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills in accordance with GAAP.
  • Knowledge of accounting software, strong technical & analytical skills. 
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills to manage time effectively and juggle priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, can-do attitude and a team player.
