Summary
The Credentialing Assistant Manager will assist with overseeing the credentialing and re-credentialing process for clinical staff and billing providers. Assists with implementation of policies and procedures to ensure applications are properly verified and accurately submitted to the appropriate credentialing bodies. Assists with analyzing and preparation of reports on trends in application status. Assists with other essential functions as assigned by Credentialing Manager.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Assists in management of all credentialing processes for clinical providers in accordance with accreditation standards, Federal, and State laws and insurance requirements,
• Assists with overseeing the management of the credentialing process and monitors critical data for extensive analysis and report generation as needed.
• Assists with monitoring and reporting turnaround times for processing of credentialing applications with continued focus on delivery of a high-quality product and greatest efficiency, in the least amount of time.
• Assists with observation of the rules and regulations, and policies and procedures, to ensure compliance with accrediting organization requirements; assists with the development and recommendation, and/or implementation of changes revisions, and enhancements as appropriate to current operating environment.
• Participates in administrative staff meetings and handles onboarding of new Billing Providers classes
• Assists with overseeing the supervision of department personnel, which includes work allocation, training, promotion, enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution; assists with evaluation of performance and offers recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
• Maintains all cross training of states with credentialing specialist as well as training all new staff
• Monitor and assist with maintaining all backlog of unsubmitted and pending records in additional states as needed
• Assist with research on credentialing issues with insurance companies when entering new states and questions regarding current states
• Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned
• Maintain a clear criminal record

Required Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education and Experience
• Associates or bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of credentialing
• Previous experience working in healthcare
• Working knowledge and understanding of provider enrollment

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.
