About the role- As a CT Technologist with Healthworks, you’ll be responsible for:
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for CT examinations, explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns. Ensure patient safety by adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- CT Imaging: Operate CT scanning equipment to produce high-quality images as per physician orders. Monitor and adjust scanning parameters to optimize image quality and minimize radiation exposure.
- Technical Skills: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment. Keep accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and image quality.
- Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnosis and follow-up procedures. Assist in training and mentoring new staff and students in CT techniques and protocols.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as departmental policies. Stay updated on advancements in CT technology and imaging techniques.
What you bring to the team:
- Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and CT. State licensure as required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in CT imaging or related field.
- Familiarity with PACS and radiology information systems (RIS).
- Strong technical skills in operating CT scanners and related equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Capacity to work in a variety of clinical settings and adapt to changing priorities.
