POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Design & Construction Coordinator is responsible for supporting team members throughout the design and construction process. This role involves assisting with initial architectural design, reviewing construction documents for quality and accuracy, and conducting site visits to ensure compliance with construction drawings. Additionally, the position requires collaborating with users to develop equipment lists and ensuring that design documents accurately reflect the necessary power, data, water, and gas connections for all equipment.
The ideal candidate will be organized, detailed-oriented and self-starting individual driven to succeed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating space plans, equipment layouts, and millwork elevations to ensure all equipment needs are met.
  • Review design drawings to verify that all owner-requested changes are accurately reflected in the construction documents.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to support construction reviews, inspections, and punch list activities.
  • Help manage the development, procurement, and coordination of all FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment).
  • Support the creation and modification of task orders for purchasing new furniture, equipment, and artwork.
  • Assist with the installation of FF&E.
  • Conduct post-occupancy surveys to gather insights and identify lessons learned.

  • Associates Degree required from 2-year College or University in Construction Management, Interior Design, Architecture,   Equipment Management or Procurement
  • Minimum of four years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience in Healthcare design preferred
  • AutoCAD drawing experience
  • Revit Experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    Strong organizational and analytical skills.
    Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.
    Ability to effectively present information.
    Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions and to conduct basic financial analysis.
    Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents.
    Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations.
    Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
    Proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, desktop publishing, Smartsheet and CAD/CAFM software including MS Office Suite (MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel & Visio).
    Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
