Job Duties and Responsibilities
As a Director of Business Development, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Provide direct management and supervision of Home Health Business Development Liaison team.
- Achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
- Meets marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; assists in preparation of an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
- Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
- Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; coordinating new product/service development.
- Use sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of services and service lines, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.
- Sustains rapport with key accounts by making visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
- Develop positioning and messaging that differentiates our services in the market.
Qualifications
A few must-haves for our Director of Business Development:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing or related field preferred.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Marketing and Sales.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of Management Experience.
