Job Duties and Responsibilities
Driver Responsibilities
- Establish a schedule for picking up and dropping off patients in a timely manner
- Communicate with referral sources and patient families while transporting patients
- Assisting in controlling patients who exhibit unacceptable behavior
- Implement and oversee patient activities; document patient observation
- Assist at-risk/physically challenged patients with mobility needs as needed
Qualifications
Driver Qualifications
- Capable of working well with diverse populations
- Can read, write, and follow verbal and written instruction; English proficient
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- 6+ months of experience working with psychiatric patients in an in-patient setting preferred
- Complete CPR certification and an Oceans approved behavioral health de-escalation program
