The Electrophysiology Technician must be proficient in assisting the cardiologist and the healthcare team in performing electrophysiology procedures while monitoring and examining the patient before, during, and after the procedure.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain electrophysiology equipment, ensuring all devices are functioning properly.
- Assist physicians during electrophysiology procedures, including catheter ablation and implantable device insertions.
- Monitor patient vitals and provide support during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Conduct pre-procedure assessments, including reviewing patient histories and performing necessary tests.
- Document procedures, findings, and outcomes accurately in patient records.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about electrophysiology procedures and post-procedure care.
- Stay current with advancements in electrophysiology technology and best practices
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Certification as an Electrophysiology Technologist (CCT, RCES, or equivalent).
- 2 years of experience in an electrophysiology lab or similar clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and electrophysiological principles.
- Experience scrubbing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
