INNESS an intimate country refuge, hotel and restaurant located in Accord, New York is seeking Event Bartenders.
INNESS is situated on a campus of 225 pastoral acres, which includes a 12-room farmhouse hotel, 28 guest cabins, restaurant, event barn, a 9-hole golf course, sporting outfitter, two swimming pools, tennis courts, walking trails, a retail home and a farm shop.
Our ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for and experience in the hospitality industry & has experience working in weddings, corporate events, meetings and private banquets.
Work schedule must be flexible and will include nights and weekends based around event dates.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
To provide a high-end event experience for our corporate & wedding events throughout the property.
Primary duties will be pulling event liquor & non-alcoholic beverage inventory from storage with supervision of Beverage Manager, stocking & organizing a presentable & functional bar (glassware/garnishes/bottles/equipment), cutting & displaying garnishes, batching cocktails according to INNESS recipes, maintaining a clean station throughout the event, restocking fruit/mixers/alcohol as needed, sorting recycling & trash, completing beverage inventory at the start & end of every event to track consumption, cleaning & detailing the vintage bar truck at the end of the event, returning inventory to the proper storage at the end of the event, sweeping & mopping behind the bars, & delivering & emptying trash into the maintenance lot dumpsters.
Qualifications
We are seeking a warm, friendly & positive attitude. Our ideal team members have the ability to stay calm under pressure & are quick to learn in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to take constructive feedback positively. Most importantly, our team members must exhibit poise & professionalism when dealing with VIP clientele.
This is a very physical job & you must be able to lift at least 25lbs, have the ability to walk up & down stairs as well as walking on uneven or unpaved surfaces. Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions.
A minimum of 1 year bartending experience in a high-volume bar. Catering experience is preferred.
