INNESS an intimate country refuge, hotel and restaurant located in Accord, New York is seeking Event Servers.
INNESS is situated on a campus of 225 pastoral acres, which includes a 12-room farmhouse hotel, 28 guest cabins, restaurant, event barn, a 9-hole golf course, sporting outfitter, two swimming pools, tennis courts, walking trails, a retail home and a farm shop.
Our ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for and experience in the hospitality industry & has experience working in weddings, corporate events, meetings and private banquets.
Work schedule must be flexible and will include nights and weekends based around event dates.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
To provide a high-end event experience for our corporate & wedding events throughout the property.
Primary duties will be dressing & setting tables for service, setting beverage & food stations, stocking bars, organizing bussing & service stations. During events, the event server will help execute food and beverage service including passed appetizers as well as buffet, plated & family-style meals. Each server will be responsible for 1-2 tables offering beverage service, taking orders, pre-bussing & marking for the next course. Servers must maintain a clean and professional appearance and work station. After events, events servers will help break down tables, sweep & mop, detail service stations, and organize outside rentals for pick-up the following day.
Qualifications
We are seeking a warm, friendly & positive attitude. Our ideal team members have the ability to stay calm under pressure & are quick to learn in a fast-paced environment. You must be able to take constructive feedback positively. Most importantly, our team members must exhibit poise & professionalism when dealing with VIP clientele.
This is a very physical job & you must be able to lift at least 25lbs, have the ability to walk up & down stairs as well as walking on uneven or unpaved surfaces. Ability to work outside in varied weather conditions.
A minimum of 1 year bartending experience in a high-volume bar. Catering experience is preferred.
$30-$35 per hour
