Black Belt Fire Protection, an Altus Fire & Life Safety Company, located in Longwood, FL is looking for a Fire Alarm Technician to join our team! The Fire Alarm Technician is primarily responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, installation, and commissioning of fire protection systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Service and test fire alarm and life safety systems.
  • Perform scheduled or routine preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment and systems.
  • Inspect, adjust, clean and calibrate, ensuring systems are in excellent working order.
  • Complete within assigned hours in a manner that reduces emergency calls and results in achieving zero callbacks.
  • Work assignments are to be performed in a safe manner and within specified cost limits.
  • Maintain all tools and equipment in good working order.
  • Perform additional related duties as required by management or project needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • FASA/BASA
  • 5+ years of related experience to include troubleshooting, programming, ground faults, and SLC shorts preferred.
  • Multifamily experience preferred.
  • Good driving record
