Altus Fire & Life Safety Company d/b/a Fire Systems Inc, located in Dartmouth, MA is looking for a Fire Sprinkler Manager to join our team! The Manager will lead a team of skilled professionals while maintaining strong relationships with clients, general contractors and regulatory bodies.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Management:
- Lead and supervise sprinkler installation teams, including foremen, installers, and project managers.
- Ensure that the team adheres to company safety standards, quality protocols, and construction timelines.
- Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and promote career growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the division.
Project Management:
- Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
- Review and interpret project blueprints, specifications, and contract requirements for proper sprinkler design and installation.
- Coordinate project logistics, including material procurement, labor assignments, and coordination with other trades.
- Ensure that all projects comply with local, state, and national fire protection codes, including NFPA 13, 14, and 20, as well as Massachusetts and Rhode Island state regulations.
Client & Stakeholder Relations:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and general contractors throughout the duration of each project.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss progress, timelines, and challenges with stakeholders and adjust plans accordingly.
- Financial & Resource Management:
- Create and manage project budgets, including tracking costs, labor, and materials.
- Review job cost reports and take corrective action as needed to ensure projects stay within budget.
- Collaborate with estimators to prepare bids and proposals for new projects, ensuring that labor, materials, and time estimates are accurate.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Conduct on-site inspections and quality control checks to ensure all systems meet code requirements and company standards.
- Coordinate and oversee inspections by local authorities and perform necessary tests to verify system functionality.
- Address and resolve any issues related to code compliance or quality deficiencies during installation.
Safety & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and promote a safe working environment on all job sites.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training to reduce workplace accidents and enhance the safety culture.
- Manage the reporting and resolution of any safety violations or incidents.
- Receive and accurately record incoming inventory; ensure materials are properly stored upon delivery.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 7 – 10+ years of experience in fire sprinkler installation, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and other relevant fire protection codes and regulations, with specific emphasis on Massachusetts and Rhode Island fire codes.
- NICET Level II or higher in Fire Sprinkler Layout preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites across Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and contractor coordination.
