Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform new patient evaluations
- Create a plan of care with attainable and measurable goals
- Provide patients with PT intervention techniques/exercises
- Provide education to patients on techniques for the continuation of care
- Maintain accurate and timely daily notes, progress notes and re-assessments
- Establish a diagnosis of impairments and their impact on activity of daily living
- Establish a plan goal and time frame
- Prescribe intervention techniques and exercises
- Measure and track intervention effectiveness
- Educate the patient on continuing care
Qualifications
- Must have experience in outpatient neuro/ortho center or vestibular rehab experience with a variety of patient population
- Current license to practice as a Physical Therapy in the state of North Carolina
- Spanish speaker a plus
- Passion for working with vestibular, balance, neurological, and fall-risk patient population
- Able to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation-setting treatment plans
- Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be passionate about helping patients who have vestibular, balance, neurological, and fall risk issues
- Graduation from an accredited PT program and current PT license in NC
- Must be able to carry out and progress a skilled treatment plan in outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation setting
- Must be self-motivated with a willingness to learn
