Housekeeping/Laundry Personnel
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the cleaning, organization, and sanitizing of resident rooms, hallways, congregate areas, nursing stations, offices, bath/shower rooms, floor surfaces, carpeted areas, dining rooms and activity areas in a professional manner.
- Follow assigned cleaning schedule outlined by the housekeeping supervisor, including deep cleaning of rooms.
- Continually monitor floor surfaces for wet, dirty spots, debris, and other safety hazards, and correct any unsafe conditions immediately.
- Ensure the general cleanliness and appearance of the facility in according with state and federal law as they pertain to long term care.
Qualifications
- Be of legal working age.
- Be able to read and follow written directions.
- Be able to communicate with residents and co-workers in English.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Work overtime as necessary/rotating weekends.
