The Room Attendant’s primary responsibility is to maintain and clean guest rooms. The Room Attendant shall provide attentive and courteous service to guests, assist guests with inquiries, and ensure their stay is memorable and uncomplicated.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleaning of the guest rooms to standard as assigned
- Performing very physical labour
- Answering guest requests
- Providing excellent customer service as per the standards of the Hotel
- Perform any other duties and tasks as required by the manager/supervisor
Qualifications
- Must be neat, professional and well groomed
- Must possess good organizational /time management skills
- Must be a self motivator – work with little supervision
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be in good physical condition, frequent pushing/pulling/reaching/stooping/handling and gripping is required
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs / 9 kg
- Lifting above the shoulder is also required
- Positive attitude and outgoing personality is essential
- Additional languages spoken would be an asset
- Must be able to work shifts – days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Previous experience within a Hotel Housekeeping department is preferred but not required
Room Attendant Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing and walking between various areas in guest room
- Occasional reaching above shoulder when cleaning high areas
- Frequent waist to shoulder movement when cleaning between waist and shoulder height, pushing/pulling vacuum
- Constant unilateral and bilateral handling and gripping of various cleaning products
- Occasionally uses finger manipulation when cleaning into corners, detailing, folding, etc.
- Able to squat/crouch while reaching to access and clean low levels to floor and stoop frequently
- Ability to lift above shoulder when removing/replacing linens
- Frequent waist to shoulder and floor to waist lifting of cleaning tools
- Will carry various items with range of weight up to 10lbs
- Ability to regularly push/pull vacuum and pushing/pulling of cart between rooms
- Pulling/lifting up of mattress when tucking in sheets
