Salary: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour

Job Duties and Responsibilities

· Answers, screens, and directs calls on multi-line phone system in a courteous and professional manner; takes messages and/or forwards telephone calls to appropriate employee, voice mail, or pager.
· Opens and closes front office and reception area a.m. and p.m. //Unlock door, turn on/off lights, tidy reception area.
· Responds to visitors, clients, and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
· Approaches problems with a focus on Customer Service.
· Scans medical records and patient pertinent information when received (at least by day end) into the EMR system and routes to the correct staff.
· Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
· Follows the intake guidelines of the clinic in regard to retrieving demographic data at patient visits and during phone calls.

Qualifications

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficient on Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Athena, and ShoreTel Phone system.
· Strong interpersonal skills.
· Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
· Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
· Commitment to excellence and high standards.
· Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
· Keystrokes a minimum of 45 wpm.
· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
· Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
· Bilingual skills a plus.
· Professional appearance and demeanor
· Ability to perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Sit for prolonged periods.
· Perform some repetitive motion activities.
· Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
· Be able to ambulate to stock/maintain a clean and orderly front reception area.
· HIPAA standards to be followed.
