Clinicians average 12+ patients a day at a full caseload, and provide treatment modalities including:

  • Diagnostic Evaluation
  • Medication Management
  • rTMS (optional)

Our practice is looking for an inpatient psychiatric nurse practitioner to see patients in-person and remote.

Salary: $110,000 to $140,000

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Inpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:

  • Review patients’ medical history and collect additional information from family members and psychologists as needed
  • Evaluate patients’ emotional, behavioral, and mental state through discussion, observation and analysis
  • Identify mental disorders and determine best treatments
  • Develop therapy plans
  • Prescribe medications
  • Analyze medical tests and track patients’ progress
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals when hospitalization is required
  • Advise patients on how to cope with mental diseases and emotional breakdowns
  • Support patients’ loved ones and inform them about the patient’s condition
  • Research medical issues and new medical treatments to update your knowledge on mental healthcare

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications:

  • Active CRNP-PMH license in good standing
  • Active or pending DEA
  • Microsoft Office proficient
  • Understanding of DSM-V and diagnosis codes
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Writing and oral communication skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Certification, training, or experience working with children ages 4-18 is a plus
