The Licensed Professional Counselor will assume a key role in our organization as diagnostician and billing provider. This candidate will need to have special strengths in child and adolescent assessment and intervention. Reporting to the Regional Clinical Director of Psychology Services, the Licensed Professional Counselor will act as billing provider for diagnostic and psychological services, provide diagnostic evaluations and participate in psycho-diagnostic staffing meetings.

Total Compensation: $70,000-$100,000, based on experience and competency

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct approximately 10 diagnostic evaluations per week for patients referred for diagnostic services using standardized measures
  • Carry out screenings and assessments including, but not limited to ADOS, ADI-R, Sensory Profile, CARS 2, BASC 3, Tele-ASD-Peds, DayC-2, and P-Toni
  • Opportunity to provide direct evaluation services to children and provide caregiver education
  • Opportunity to participate in the development, implementation & monitoring of evidence-based clinical models of care, practice guidelines, and ethical clinical standards to meet consumer needs and to ensure best practices throughout the organization
  • Opportunity to participate in the design and implementation of clinical outcomes studies and other performance improvement initiatives to meet the needs and expectations of the organization and the persons it serves
  • Opportunity to participate in the development of clinical and operations training plans for the organization; participate in the implementation of competency-based orientation and professional education programs to meet the needs of the organization and its clinical/operations staff
  • Opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures related to diagnostic and psychological services

  • Attend educational programs and in-service trainings related to the center
  • Maintain an active, unrestricted license in your state to practice as a licensed independent practitioner (i.e., LPC, LPCP, LCSW, Psychologist)
  • Maintain a negative Tuberculosis screening according to the CDC
  • Maintain a clear criminal record
  • Valid Driver’s License

Required Education and Experience

  • Masters degree and current unrestricted licensed in the state applicable as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Physical Demands
This is a position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require lifting, carrying, running, walking, climbing, kneeling, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder.  May need to lift pediatric population at times (up to 50 lbs).
