Lead Brand Integrity Across a National Franchise System

We’re looking for a Manager, Franchise Compliance & Brand Standards to lead system-wide efforts that ensure our franchise network operates in alignment with brand standards, compliance requirements, and operational excellence.
This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of compliance, operations, and cross-functional leadership—and wants to influence how a growing franchise system maintains quality and consistency at scale.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Drive Brand Consistency Across the System

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on brand standards, franchise agreements, and Operations Manuals
  • Represent brand expectations to franchisees, coaches, and internal stakeholders
  • Set and execute goals for brand consistency initiatives

Lead Compliance Oversight

  • Own and manage the annual compliance review cycle
  • Evaluate franchisee adherence to brand standards and agreements
  • Maintain dashboards and reporting to track compliance trends
  • Identify risks and drive resolution

Own Operations Manual Governance

  • Manage and update Operations Manuals to ensure alignment with brand and regulatory standards
  • Partner with SMEs to revise and improve content
  • Lead semi-annual update cycles and roadmap

Support Compliance Enforcement

  • Oversee preparation of compliance documentation (pre-default and default notices)
  • Ensure communications align with approved templates and standards
  • Partner closely with Legal on documentation and process

Lead Cross-Functional Initiatives

  • Drive projects that improve system-wide consistency
  • Collaborate with Strategy, Operations, Legal, Finance, Technology, and CX teams
  • Recommend improvements and innovations to strengthen consistency

Data, Reporting & Insights

  • Own dashboards and scorecards tracking compliance metrics
  • Present insights and trends to leadership

Build Franchisee Relationships

  • Partner with franchise owners and coaches to support compliance and performance
  • Provide guidance on expectations and corrective actions
  • Develop educational programming

Training & Communication

  • Lead communications to reinforce brand standards
  • Deliver training on compliance and Operations Manual updates
  • Manage annual legal/compliance webinar series

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5–7 years in compliance, franchising, legal/regulatory, or similar
  • Experience leading compliance workflows or governance programs
  • Franchise system experience strongly preferred

Skills

  • Strong understanding of franchise operations and compliance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical mindset with strong Excel proficiency
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to influence and drive change across a distributed network

AI-Forward Mindset

Additional Details

  • Travel: ~5–6 trips per year to Bannockburn, IL
