Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar.
- Communicate with the clinical staff about cancellation, no-show, and coordinate the re-schedule on a timely fashion.
- Verify and update patient information and keep the records up-to-date in the electronic medical records system.
- Collect and process payments, insurance information, and other administrative tasks.
- Ensure a clean and organized front desk area.
- Communicate effectively with clinical staff to coordinate patient care.
- Address patient inquiries, provide information, and resolve concerns promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with the administrative team to improve processes and enhance the patient experience.
- Provide assistance in marketing events as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Proven experience in a front desk or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient with basic computer operations, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Authorized to work in the US
- Bilingual abilities is a plus
