We are currently seeking a full-time patient coordinator to join our team in our southern locations in Broward County. The patient coordinator is a vital part of the office team as the first point of contact with the patients. They are responsible for answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments and collecting copays in a professional and friendly manner. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer phones timely 
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Collects co-payments and outstanding balances
  • Filing, faxing and other miscellaneous front desk tasks
  • Knowledge of multiple insurances, referral and authorization process
  • Troubleshoot insurance claims issues
  • Develop competency with EMR and practice management system

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility with hours and local area travel
  • Computer proficiency for an office nearly 100% electronic (Scanning, uploading, downloading, document transfer)
  • Ability to work in multiple software programs/applications
  • Exhibit patience and compassion
  • Ability to prioritize tasks properly
