The primary function of a Medical Records Coordinator (MRC) is to appropriately and accurately verify and process requests from outside sources in a timely manner. The ideal candidate must be extremely detail-oriented, organized, and be able to follow polices and HIPPA regulations. The MRC must also be comfortable learning different EMR systems. Candidates will be part of a fast-paced “team” environment working with law firms, subpoena companies, and doctor offices.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Job details:

  • Review, maintain, audit records request in a timely manner.
  • Maintain HIPPA compliance and client confidentiality.
  • Ensure that records & invoices are received, paid, approved, and documented.
  • Work closely with team and communicate the status of requests and records thoroughly and efficiently.
  • Proficient phone and telecommunication skills.
  • Monitor and respond to multiple inboxes.
  • Scan/upload patient information into corresponding EMR system.
  • Minimum: 1 year of medical records experience.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish required.
  • EMR experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office.
  • Preferred: PI experience.
