We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hotel Night Auditor to join our team. As the Night Auditor, you will be responsible for the nightly accounting operations of the hotel, including balancing revenues and expenses, and reconciling daily reports. You will also provide excellent guest service during the overnight shift and assist with any guest inquiries or issues.
Hourly: $12 – $13/hr
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform nightly accounting operations, including balancing revenues and expenses and reconciling daily reports
- Verify the accuracy of guest charges and payments, and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and distribute daily reports, including financial summaries and occupancy reports
- Assist guests with any inquiries or issues during the overnight shift
- Provide excellent guest service and address guest concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure the safety and security of the hotel and its guests during the overnight shift
- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Front Desk Manager
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in accounting or hospitality management preferred
- At least 1-2 year of experience in hotel night audit or accounting operations
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in basic accounting principles and practices
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Knowledge of hotel industry best practices and trends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management software
