Position Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with children and their families, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality care. This is a full-time position with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments for pediatric patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and abilities.
- Implement therapeutic interventions and activities to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care abilities, and overall functional independence.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate and involve parents/caregivers in the therapeutic process, providing guidance and support to promote carryover of skills at home and in other environments.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document clinical findings accurately and timely.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, professional ethics, and clinic policies and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings, continuing education opportunities, and clinic initiatives to enhance clinical skills and contribute to the growth and success of the clinic.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to professional development and ongoing learning
