This position is an important part of the patient experience. You’ll work directly with patients, perform pre-examination testing, assist our optometrists during exams, provide contact lens instruction, and help patients navigate their eye-care needs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and provide a professional, positive experience from the moment they arrive.
- Perform a variety of pre-testing procedures, including visual acuity, IOP measurements, retinal imaging, visual fields, and OCT.
- Obtain and document patient history and preliminary information accurately.
- Explain testing procedures to patients and provide clear instructions to help ensure reliable results.
- Enter test results and patient information accurately into the electronic health record.
- Provide patients with instruction on contact lens insertion, removal, handling, and care.
- Assist the optometrist with patient examinations and other clinical needs.
- Answer phones, emails, and texts from patients, vendors, and other facilities.
- Work collaboratively with the front desk, optical, and clinical team to keep the patient experience running smoothly.
- Step in to assist other team members when needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous optometric technician experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates with strong healthcare, customer service, or related experience.
- Comfortable interacting with patients of different ages and backgrounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Dependable, adaptable, and willing to learn.
- Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
- Interest in eye care and healthcare.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
