​​​​PlayDate Behavioral Interventions has an opening for a qualified pediatric professional in the field of Occupational Therapy! Our collaborative team is dedicated to serving children ages 0-18. We ensure lack of funding is not a barrier to services and have provided over $3 million in scholarship and pro bono services in the Colorado Springs area.
We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to develop/oversee a Pediatric OT Program and provide this essential service to children with various diagnoses. We aim to provide a variety of services in one location to decrease stress on caregivers and increase multidisciplinary collaboration. Candidates should be licensed as an OT in Colorado and be able to work independently as well as with a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
This is a unique opportunity for a candidate who is looking to utilize all their experience to develop a full OT program! Opportunity to hire and supervise OTAs. We provide the therapeutic equipment needed for evaluations and treatment. This position offers exciting leadership opportunities to influence and innovate an excellent OT program.
This is a highly collaborative environment. This position allows you to set your own schedule. Individuals qualified for this position should have background and extensive knowledge in the field of occupational therapy and preferably 2 years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities, including autism, as well as 1 year of experience overseeing/training staff. Salary is based on experience. Signing bonus of $2500! $36-46 per hour with ALL WORK HOURS PAID AT SAME RATE INCLUDING NON-BILLABLE AND TRAINING. We also provide free on-site childcare to employees.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Management of the OT program within our building and caseload
  • Provide training and support to non-OT professionals
  • Consult with clients/caregivers to learn about their physical condition and symptoms and review their medical history
  • Helps patient develop or regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to disabilities by implementing programs involving manual arts and crafts, practice in functional, prevocational, vocational and homemaking skills, activities of daily living, and sensory motor, educational, recreational and social activities
  • Develop an individualized treatment plan
  • Support clients in completing therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their condition
  • Use hands-on therapy to ease patients’ pain and provide stimulation to promote healing
  • Maintain patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordingly
  • Advise clients and their families on in-home treatment options and what to expect from the treatment process

Qualifications

  • Colorado OT License
  • Special needs: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Pediatrics: 1 year (Preferred)
  • OT Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
