- Assist Physical Therapist’s in all aspects of patient care (Evaluations through Discharge planning)
- Under the guidance and mentorship of PT’s, perform therapy techniques and exercises
- Provide education to patients on techniques for the continuation of care
- Conduct treatment according to established treatment plans and physicians’ orders
- Monitor and track intervention effectiveness and keep Physical Therapist up to date on any changes in patient progress
- Adhere to company policies and procedures pertaining to charting and billing for Physical Therapy Services
- Participate formally and informally with other team members to coordinate and establish best in class standards and clinical practices.
- Assist in the selection of physical therapy techniques, set patient goals, and time frame tailored to the patients’ specific needs in conjunction with Physical Therapist.
- Educate the patient on continuing care to promote a healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
- Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program (Bachelors preferred)
- Current licensure as Physical Therapy Assistant within the state of South Carolina
- CPR certification (current)
- Must be self-motivated, excited to learn new and innovative techniques
- Have a strong desire to grow personally and professionally
- Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment
- Demonstrate clinical leadership and ability to be coached & mentored by Physical Therapists and support staff
- Must be passionate about helping patients who have vestibular, balance, neurological, and fall risk issues
- Outpatient neurological, orthopedic, balance center or vestibular rehab experience is a plus but not required
