Job Duties and Responsibilities
PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver-quality patient care in a professional and comfortable environment.
- Help the Physical Therapist (PT) in all aspects of patient care.
- Under the guidance of the PT, perform therapy techniques/exercises.
- Measure and track patient progress, informing PT of all changes.
- Educate the patient on continuing care.
- Manage smooth and timely patient flow in accordance with scheduled appointment times.
- Adhere to HIPAA and documentation regulations as required by federal, state, and local agencies.
- Properly and promptly document and maintain clinical and administrative records.
- Adhere to company’s guideline for billing of clinical and non-clinical services.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program (accredited).
- Up-to-date Physical Therapist Assistant license.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures.
- Previous experience in the outpatient physical therapy setting preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
