Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform new patient evaluations and examinations
- Determine necessary PT based on prescriptions, referrals, patient conditions, and records
- Plan, prepare, and administer treatment programs based on evaluation of patient data
- Evaluate and record the effects of treatment at various stages and adjust to achieve maximum benefit
- Provide education to patients on techniques for the continuum of care
- Keep timely documentation including but not limited to daily notes, weekly reports, initial evaluations, and discharge summaries
- Communicate with referring physicians
- Participate in community outreach events occasionally.
Qualifications
- Accredited PT program graduate
- Up-to-date Texas PT license
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to work efficiently/effectively in an autonomous environment
- Must be passionate about helping patients who have vestibular, balance, and fall risk issues
- Must be able to carry out and progress a skilled treatment plan in outpatient setting
- Must be self-motivated with a willingness to learn
- At least one year working in outpatient setting is preferred.
