Why You’ll Love This Job
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, and project management activities focused on repair and maintenance (R&M) and facilities initiatives. This hybrid role combines FP&A expertise with project management to support data-driven decision-making, reporting, and execution. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance with a dotted line to the Vice President of Facilities, this individual is an analytical and results-driven professional with strong project management skills, comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis tools, and the ability to bridge FP&A and operational functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics for (but not limited to) R&M and facilities projects, with a focus on identifying trends, opportunities, and potential risks to financial and operational performance
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, scorecards, and dashboards, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and adherence to regulatory requirements
- Own complex, multi-phase projects from conceptualization to handoff, with a focus on FP&A-driven initiatives such as cost analysis, ROI modeling, and resource allocation
- Build and maintain execution playbooks, workflows, templates, dashboards, and reporting systems using advanced Excel and intermediate Domo capabilities
- Translate facilities and R&M strategies into measurable milestones, KPIs, timelines, and analytical models to drive efficiency and scalability
- Create executive-level reporting and visualizations that provide actionable insights, storytelling, and trend analysis (not just data dumps)
- Identify financial and operational risks early, mitigate blockers, and ensure momentum in cross-functional partnerships (e.g., FP&A, Facilities, Operations, IT)
- Collaborate with department heads and senior executives to provide financial insights and recommendations that support sound business decisions and long-term strategic goals
- Ensure projects transition smoothly into ongoing operations, sustainment, or long-term ownership without stalling post-launch
- Supervise or mentor junior team members, such as Project Coordinators and Analysts, to build independent execution capabilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 7–10 years of experience in project management, FP&A, or a related role, with demonstrated expertise in financial analysis and operational projects
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related business discipline; master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, CFA, or CPA) preferred
- Must be able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proven experience standing up large multi-site or multi-department initiatives, preferably in facilities, R&M, operations, or finance
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation abilities, with a systems-thinking approach to building scalable processes
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to set standards, maintain accountability, and coach teams without micromanagement
- Experience with portfolio or program management tools, Smartsheet (automation, workflows, dashboards), PowerPoint/Google Slides (executive storytelling), and Word/Docs (SOPs, playbooks)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas, data visualization)
- Intermediate proficiency in Domo or similar BI tools (dashboarding, trend analysis, KPI visualization); experience with Tableau, Power BI, or SQL a significant plus
- Experience with SharePoint/OneDrive, CMMS, ERP systems, or operational analytics tools a plus
