Job Duties and Responsibilities

Practice Manager job responsibilities include: 

  • Oversee and monitor patient wait times and flow  
  • Work with clinical support staff, coordinators, and receptionist
  • Commit to providing the highest quality of service to patients
  • Oversee all support staff
  • Oversee all HR activities for the staff, including those related to hiring, orienting, training, disciplining, terminating, performance evaluation, goal-setting, and employee relations
  • Provide oversight and direct daily clinic operations

Qualifications

Practice Manager required skills & qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred or, in its place, 5-plus years of management experience 
  • Five plus years of healthcare experience preferred 
  • Prefer multi-clinic location management 
  • Experience with Athena, Epic, Centricity EMR systems a plus 
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license 
  • Must be able to establish and maintain relationships with physicians, management, staff, patients 
  • Superior communication, organizational and presentation skills a must 
  • Strong customer service skills, good judgment, independent thinking and creativity when resolving customer issues 
  • Must be able to take the lead and work independently and in teams, and deal persuasively and effectively with others within the company 
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects in varying stages of development 
  • Effectively handle challenging situations and multiple priorities
  • Be able to support several locations 
  • Be able to handle sensitive and confidential information 
  • Must have computer and application skills which includes MS Office, scheduling, billing systems and EMR
