In this role, you will work closely with the Medical Director and Office Manager to oversee the clinical workflow and surgical schedule.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

RN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate daily flow and oversee timely rooming of patients
  • Phone calls
    • Path results / address wound concerns / calls to complicated patients / medication refills
  • OSHA and CLIA compliance
  • Schedule and explain Mohs & excision procedures to patients
  • Send Mohs referral letters and maintain the Mohs log and schedule
  • Coordinate appointments between the practice and plastic surgeon / oculoplastic for repairs
  • Oversee the instrument sterilization process & ensure MAs are following protocols in place
  • Make sure specimens sent to correct lab in a timely manner
  • Work closely with medical director and office manager about writing protocols
  • Serve as back-up surgical assistant as needed
  • Suture removals / wound checks / numbing
  • Skin tag removals and milia extractions under supervision of Provider
  • Hydrafacials
  • Supplies inventory
  • All other duties as assigned by office manager or providers

Qualifications

RN SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven ability in establishing rapport with patients, staff, and supervisors
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead and to prioritize tasks
  • Proven ability in handling several office tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent phone etiquette and personal communication skills
  • High commitment to patient care and to portraying the best image of the practice
  • Bring daily to the workplace a cheerful personality, positive attitude, and enthusiasm
  • Build and promote a team environment that embraces the principles and values of the practice
  • Lead by example and encourage others to be effective team members

RN  EXPERIENCE

  • Registered Nurse Certification required
  • 1+ years of experience in a healthcare office, hospital or other medical facility required (derm preferred)
  • Previous experience in a lead role required
