Job Duties and Responsibilities
As an RCM , here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the revenue cycle, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data system and process issues.
- Prepare weekly reports and oversee month-end close processes.
- Monitor payer requirements, regulations, and collection practices.
- Mentor and train staff, promoting a collaborative team environment.
- Conduct ongoing audits to validate processes and improve efficiencies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management about process changes and updates.
Qualifications
A few must-haves for an Revenue Cycle Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in computer systems and technology.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare collections and receivable processes preferred.
- Excellent managerial and communication skills.
- Team player with a commitment to mentoring and developing staff.
