Who You Are
The Sanitation Manager supports Cafe Valley by overseeing all sanitation activities in our bakery manufacturing plant. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and leading a dedicated team of sanitation professionals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
What You Will Do
- Develop, implement, and maintain sanitation programs to ensure compliance with standards
- Supervise and train sanitation staff to ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of equipment, production lines, and facility areas
- Inspect and audit sanitation processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Manage sanitation schedules to minimize downtime while maintaining cleanliness and production efficiency
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Operations, and Maintenance teams to ensure food safety and quality standards are met
- Maintain detailed records of sanitation activities, including chemical usage, cleaning schedules, and inspection reports
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to food manufacturing sanitation
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and other safety protocols
- Monitor and manage labor, supplies, and equipment
- Perform all related duties as required; related duties may not be specifically listed but are within the general occupational responsibility level typically associated with the employee’s classification of work
Qualifications
What You Need to Be Successful
- Ability to work with or around bakery allergens of all types
- At least 5 years of food manufacturing sanitation leadership experience
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FSMA, FDA, USDA) and sanitation practices (e.g., HACCP, GMP, CIP)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot sanitation-related issues effectively
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with sanitation equipment, tools, and cleaning chemicals used in food manufacturing
- English Spanish bilingual, preferred
