Aim Star Learning is seeking energetic, self-motivated individuals to provide 1:1 Behavior Therapy (ABA) for children, adolescents and young adults with autism and other developmental and behavior disorders. We work hard to give you the experience you desire.

What You’ll be Doing

As a Certified Behavior Technician (CBT), you’ll provide high quality behavioral services to autistic and/or developmentally delayed students ages 3-21 in their school settings, in accordance with their Individual Education Plan (IEP). You will engage and support these students in reaching behavioral goals, following the program and instructional guidelines set up by your Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supervisor. Using data collection software, you’ll track progress made toward daily goals, and reward students for their positive efforts.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • After school
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must have:

  • Interest and experience in working with children who have autism or developmental disabilities
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
  • A High School Diploma (or equivalent), bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • The following credentials (or pending): Washington State certification as a Certified Behavior Technician (CBT)

Skills:

– Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism
– Strong patient care skills, including empathy, patience, and compassion
– Ability to implement behavioral therapy strategies effectively
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
