Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Gain a detailed understanding of the business and how the software product supports it.
- Engage with customers and users to build and maintain a deep understanding of how they use the product and derive value from it.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, designers, and development teams to define and communicate a compelling vision for the product.
- Translate business objectives into missions for the product team and lead them through the product lifecycle using iterative methodologies.
- Pair or act as product designers to gather user insights and ensure product usability.
- Rapidly test concepts and prototypes with users to learn what works and what doesn’t.
- Work closely with engineering to balance technical constraints without compromising user needs.
- Break down large ideas into small, achievable parts with clear goals and success measures.
- Prioritize product backlog and plan sprints, considering risks, user/customer value, dependencies, and business objectives.
- Define and implement key metrics for product health, communicating progress and optimizing as necessary.
- Maintain strategic vision while managing day-to-day execution, ensuring deadlines are met and strong relationships are built across teams.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills to convey ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to balance technical understanding with business modeling in complex industries like healthcare.
- Analytical and data-driven approach, using insights to guide product improvements.
- Proven experience in product management within B2B or B2B2C spaces.
- Experience developing and communicating product value propositions to earn stakeholder buy-in.
- Experience in an agile environment, with familiarity in user experience research and design.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and motivate them to achieve product goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills to navigate relationships with design, engineering, marketing, and sales teams.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of product management experience, preferably in agile environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience leading and delivering products or large feature sets to market.
- Strong technical background with the ability to engage deeply with engineers and designers.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
