POSITION SUMMARY
The Communications Specialist is responsible for managing Atlas Healthcare Partners’ day-to-day internal communication efforts. This role corresponds with team members and stakeholders to keep them informed of company developments. This includes executing internal and partner communication programs, managing our established communications platforms, assisting with special projects such as employee engagement efforts, and developing engaging content for team members.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 
Tactics Implementation
Works closely with VP of Marketing and Communications and the Manager, Communications to develop and implement Atlas’ internal communications strategies
Develops communication plans in conjunction with Sr. Manager, Communications for internal campaigns and initiatives
Content Writer
Writes compelling and effective communication pieces and content for a variety of internal audiences and channels including blogs, newsletters, announcements, and Compass (SharePoint) news articles
Writes effective e-mails for various internal constituencies in ways that are designed to inform and engage
Basic multimedia graphic design (thumbnails for Intranet and blogs)
Channel Manager
Manages weekly all-company blog and develops centralized content for it
Manages SMS service and maintains list hygiene (segmentation, importing weekly new hires and removal of terminated employees)
Publish news articles on Compass
Posts content to LinkedIn, monitor mentions, respond to comments
Monitors shared Communications inbox and forwards to relevant parties for follow-up
Supports Atlas Departments
Works with Clinical Department on necessary logistics and communication for various educational programs (Zero Hero, Preceptor, Skills Check-Off, etc.)
Devises and executes communication campaigns with Human Resources and other departments: change initiatives and perennial campaigns
Creates surveys, questionnaires, RSVP forms, Microsoft Bookings pages, and other assets as needed to support internal communications
Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in communications or public relations with 1 – 3 years’ experience. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading, and verbal skills with exceptional ability to work with others. Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Adept at MS Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
 Additional education and experience preferred. Healthcare and/or startup experience preferred. Skills in Adobe software a plus. Graphic design and video development/management a plus.
