Job Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following areas (subject to change):

  • Complete full physical exam, obtain complete medical history and records including identifying data, chief complaints, illnesses, previous medical or family histories, or psycho-social characteristics
  • Interpret and integrate data to determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan
  • Collaborate with other physicians in managing acute and log-term medical needs of patient
  • Administer Trigger Point injections and Inter-articular injections.
  • Regenerative medicine therapies a plus
  • Examines patients to determine discomfort level and cause of pain
  • Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies
  • Diagnoses and treats diseases, disorders and injuries based on patient’s medical history and results of physical assessment to determine extent of pain, help diagnose condition, or manage pain
  • Instructs and counsels patients regarding procedures performed; always promoting wellness and health maintenance
  • Maintains a positive attitude, is compassionate and has great communication and problem-solving skills
  • Coordinates additional care such as physical therapy, psychological therapy, and rehabilitation programs to offer patients a comprehensive treatment plan with a multidisciplinary approach to the treatment of their pain
  • Provides direct Pain Management oversight utilizing the most minimally effective dosage regime in compliance with regulations
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
  • Conducts chart reviews
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions

  • Performs other duties consistent with the above responsibilities
