Altus Fire & Life Safety Company, d/b/a Alarm & Suppression, Inc. located in Ballston Lake, NY, is looking for a Sprinkler Service Manager to join our team!  This position is responsible for managing and scheduling service calls and small projects, supporting service technicians, and providing customer assistance during emergency calls.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Customer & Project Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring seamless communication with accounting and invoicing through email and the NetSuite platform. 
  • Service Quotes & Cost Assessments: Review and provide accurate quotes for service calls and small projects by leveraging industry expertise for labor and material cost assessments. 
  • Task Prioritization & Emergency Response: Prioritize tasks, manage service calls, and adjust schedules and resources as necessary to address emergency situations. 
  • Staff & Service Oversight: Support and manage service & dispatch staff and service calls/projects from initial survey to project completion, resolving conflicts and mentoring service personnel as needed. 
  • Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with the Sales Manager, Projects Manager, and Test/Inspection Manager to streamline processes and workflows. 
  • Client Relations & Field Support: Meet with clients as necessary and provide on-site assistance as required to ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • Project Coordination: Interface with plant managers, project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project completion. 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • 5+ years in the sprinkler and or fire alarm industry, including installation, service, testing, and inspection. 
  • 5+ years in service management. 
  • Valid Sprinkler or Fire Alarm license.
  • Additional licenses or NICET certifications are a plus. 
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) codes.
