The Surgery Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for scheduling all surgeries and procedures for all physicians and other healthcare providers as requested.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for scheduling all surgeries and procedures as requested by the physician or the physician’s office staff.
- Responsible for obtaining and adding patient demographics and insurance information into the online billing system.
- Coordinates efforts with the staff to ensure availability of needed equipment, requested staff, and/or ancillary services.
- Prepares and distributes the daily surgery schedule to the staff.
- Responsible for capturing complete and accurate clinical, demographic, and insurance information on all patients that are scheduled for surgery or procedure.
- Ensures patients have proper medical clearance and pre-surgical testing as needed.
- Completes pre-procedure phone calls and confirms appointment times with patients that includes providing accurate and detailed information to patients regarding test preparations, time of scheduled arrival, and any other necessary information.
- Schedules follow-up appointments for patients
- Responsible for communicating with the Director of Clinical Operations, and other appropriate stakeholders any schedule changes that may include same day and next day add-on cases and any potential scheduling conflicts.
- Responsible for tracking patient cancellations.
- Responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and releasing block time on surgery and procedure calendars.
- Responsible for prompt communication with Director of Clinical Operations regarding all patient concerns.
- Collaborates with appropriate vendors as needed.
- Maintains positive interaction and professional communication with patients, their family members, physicians, managers, and all peers.
- All other duties assigned include duties performed for affiliates, assigns, lessees, contractors or other third parties.

Education:
- High School Degree Required
Physical Requirements:
