Job Duties and Responsibilities
As an OB tech, your duties include:
- Preparing and cleaning the delivery room
- Assisting in procedures involved in birth.
- Basic clerical work and update patient records.
- Assist the medical professionals present during a birth in whatever ways necessary.
Qualifications
- Must have a passion for helping others and the necessary postsecondary education.
- CNA (certified nursing assistant) or CST (certified surgical technologist) certificate
- Excellent knowledge of the basics of women’s health, surgical technology, anatomy, labor and delivery, and general healthcare
- 1 year experience in a similar role.
