POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President of Finance is responsible for leading the organization’s financial department focusing on maximizing profits and planning for growth. The role will oversee Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Data Analytics Services and provide financial and analytics support to the company’s Ambulatory Surgery Centers in all markets and the Corporate/Support Center. This position will serve as a key advisor to Executive Leadership on strategic decision-making for the organization’s financial health and future, including growth and development plans.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serve as a financial advisor to the CFO and executive team for strategic planning purposes.
Develop appropriate tracking methods for revenue and expenses.
Oversee development, oversight, and management of the organization’s investment plan
Develop, lead, and manage the budgeting process
Lead financial data for analysis and forecasting with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance
Coordinate the preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly reports
Maximize the company’s profits and plan for its growth
Ensure compliance with regulations specific to that industry
Own and oversee all aspects of Finance operations, including regular financial reporting (e.g., preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, monitoring transactions, forecasting, planning, budgeting, financial analysis, cash management, and liquidity management.
Oversee all banking operations and corporate debt facilities, ensuring adherence to established treasury rules and regulations.  
Audit and improve productivity and effectiveness of current cross-team processes.
Partner with the CFO to support corporate finance activities and strategy.
Regular monitoring and oversight of transactions, investments, and any business deals that affect the bottom line.
Conduct regular audits of expenditures, assets, and liabilities.
Develop, Implement, and update company fiscal policies and procedures.
Ensure implementation of new technologies, products, and services to improve financial operations and service delivery.
Lead and enhance internal processes to drive operational efficiency and ensure compliance with internal policies, controls, and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes direct supervisory responsibility for assigned department staff, including managers, analysts, and additional professional individual contributors.

DIRECTLY REPORTING
Reports to the Chief Financial Officer

TYPE OF SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has full managerial scope and authority for employment actions, including coaching, candidate selection, training and development, performance appraisals, work assignments, and disciplinary action.

SCOPE AND COMPLEXITY
 This role requires a solid executive presence and the ability to communicate compelling messages to senior executives and finance partners. Superior strategic thought leadership and experience succinctly presenting complex materials to senior executives to drive effective decision-making. Additionally, exceptional project management skills and demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
BS in Accounting/Finance, 8+ years of experience in Finance or related field.
Demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently with minimal daily direction from management. Operate both independently and as part of a larger functional team. Organizational capacity to manage deadlines and conflicting priorities in a dynamic work environment. Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA in Finance, and Healthcare experience in a finance leadership role.
