Pay: $16.00 – $19.00 per hour
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Position Description
In this role we will teach you how to:
- Remanufacture customer wire harnesses: diagnose and troubleshoot problems and bring back to OEM specs.
- Learn how to inspect and repair all types of automotive wire assemblies back to OEM specifications
- Read and understand electrical diagrams provided by OEM
- Expand knowledge by working with all manufacturers, Toyota, Ford, GM, Chrysler etc.
- Typically repairing engine compartment, dash, body, injector wire assemblies among others
- Repairs vary from rodent, fire, flood damage to collision and theft damage
- Learn proper crimping and assembly techniques set by the IPC standards.
- Expand knowledge on best practices for proper wire harness manufacturing.
- Document and organize all notes and wire replacements to ensure product quality.
- Adhere to ISO 9001:2015 processes and instructions.
Qualifications
Education
- High School or equivalent, degree or certificate in automotive, trade school a plus, but not required.
Experience
- Automotive experience, HVAC experience, looking for specific troubleshooting and problem solving skills – experience with electrical troubleshooting are a huge plus.
